Salvatore Ruitto

April 9, 1936 - December 20, 2017

RUITTO: Salvatore Ruitto, 81 of New London and formerly of Portland, CT. He was born April 9, 1936 in Portland, CT the son of the late Vincenzo and Angelina (Lestrino) Ruitto. Mr. Ruitto was the owner and operator of Sal Ruitto Development, LLC. He built homes and developed projects through out Middlesex and New London Counties. He is survived by, his beloved wife of 57 years, Joan (Galati) Ruitto of New London. His daughter Debbie Scully and husband Jim of East Hartford. Three brothers, Angelo, Domminc and wife Barbara, Joseph and wife Donna Ruitto. He was predeceased by his daughter, Bette Jean Ruitto. A private Mass of Christian Burial, was held in St. Joseph Church in New London. A memorial Mass will be held for family and friends at a later date in the new year. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, has been entrusted with his care.
