BISHOP: Rosalie Sally Drago Bishop, 90 of Waterford entered eternal life on Oct. 16, 2015 in the comfort of her loving family. She was born March 19, 1925 in New London the daughter of the late Angelo and Josephine (Farina) Drago. She attended local schools and graduated from the Former W.M.I. class of 1942. She later graduated from Forsyth Dental Infirmary School in Boston, MA. in 1944. She was united in marriage to George Bishop, Jr. on Jan. 15, 1955 in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Mr. Bishop died April 8, 2012. Sally was employed as a Dental Hygienist at Dr. Shapiro’s office, Dr. Hirsch, and finally Dr. French, retiring in 1990 after 46 years of service. She was known for “You don’t have to floss all your teeth, just the ones you want to keep”. She was a communicant of St Paul Church in Waterford serving on the Parish Council, a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She served on St. Bernard High School’s Parents Council and Board of Trustees. Sally was a Girl Scout Leader in New London and a member of the “Funster Bowling League” at Holiday Bowl. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross and Food Pantry OIC Building in New London. She is survived by three daughters; Joanne Fisher(John) of MA, Carole M. Bishop, Anne L. Ogden (Bob Hinners) both of Waterford. Two grandchildren, Amy Caird (Ian) and Eric Ogden (Rachel). She was looking forward to meeting her great grandson to be arriving in February. She was predeceased by a brother Anthony Drago. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4 to 8 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. Family and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11 am in St. Paul Church, 170 Rope Ferry Rd. Waterford. Entombment will be private at St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to St. Paul Church.
