THORMAHLEN: June Althea Thormahlen, 87 of Bozrah and formerly of New London entered eternal life on June 14, 2023 in the company of her loving family. She was born April 14, 1936 in Portsmouth, NH the daughter of the late Earnest and Lousie (Haigh) Fogg. Moving to New London at an early age, she attended local schools and graduated from New London High School. June later graduated from Middlesex School of Nursing, RN, and St. Joseph College in Maine with her BSN. She was employed, for the New London Board of Education as a school nurse, retiring after many years and receiving a Proclamation from the City of New London. She was a member of the Huntington Street Baptist Church, a volunteer for Soup Kitchen, Value Contact and Suicide Hotline. She is survived by her five children, Susan Nyoka, David Thormahlen, Cathlyn Kessler Haigh, Scott Thormahlen and Kevin Thormahlen. Three siblings, James Fogg, Elizabeth Fogg Kessler, Helen Sobanski and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by six siblings, William Fogg, Helen Arnold, Robert, Russell, John, and Richard Fogg. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the Impellitteri-Malia funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London, and proceed to a 12 pm service at the Huntington Street Baptist Church, 29 Huntington St, New London. Interment is private. Donations in her memory to, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10336
