John Frey

John F. “Super Frey” Frey, 72, of New London, entered eternal life on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at his home.

He was born May 21, 1944, in Bangor, Maine, the son of the late and beloved mother, Florence Frey. He served in the Connecticut National Guard for six years and was honorably discharged. Mr. Frey worked at Dow Chemical as a chemical operator.

John is survived by three children, Ann Lavin of Pennsylvania, Joette Frey of New London and John Wiser of Texas; a step-daughter, Laura Vincent of New London; a sister, Donna Cox of Washington; and a faithful friend and care giver, Candice Woodhall; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Family and friends are to gather for a memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 10 Huntington St., New London. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery with military honors.

The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, has been entrusted with his care.
