SCIULLO: Dorothy Eleanor Sciullo died on Sept. 19, 2018 after a long illness. She was 86 years old. She was the beloved wife of Robert Sciullo for over 61 years. Dorothy was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Her parents were the late Julia and James Carver. She is survived by her husband and children: Kathleen at home, David, Alison (Dave) Roby of Huston, TX. She is also survived by her brother, James (Shirley) Carver. She was predeceased by her sons Robert and Thomas, and by her siblings Ruth, Glen, and Violet. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Dorothy loved The Lord and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Niantic, and was previously a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in New London. Her interests included volunteer work for the American Cancer Society, the Women’s Guild at Our Redeemer, the UConn Women’s Basketball Team, (She met Geno!), country music (esp Kris Kristofferson, who she met on multiple occasions!), the Pittsburgh Steelers (she saw the Lombardi trophies in person!) and travelling the United States.
