VALERO: Antonio “Tony” Valero, Sr. 58 of Mystic entered eternal life on April 15, 2016. He was born Jan. 28, 1958 in New London the son of the late Antonio Valero and Theresa (Jullarine) Bliven. Mr. Valero attended local schools in New London and graduated from New London High School. He was united marriage to the former Diana (Beaulieu) Valero on Nov. 16, 2002 in Mystic. Tony was currently employed for the Ledyard School Systems working at the Gallup Hill School. He was the serving president of the AFSCME Union, Local 1303. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid NY Giants fan. He was a big supporter of the Ledyard High School Football Colonels and attended every home game. Besides his beloved wife Dianna, he is survived by four children. Antonio Valero, Jr. of Groton, Aleshia Meier and Angela Valero both of New London and John Valero of Montville. Two step children, Samatha Hornby of Montville, Angelien Pheland of Mystic and twelve grandchildren. He was predeceased by two siblings, David and Sabrina Valero. His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. A graveside service will take place on Friday at 12 pm in St. Mary Cemetery, New London.
