Gales Ferry – William L. Ballestrini, Sr., 83, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.  Born in New London, son of the late Santo J. and Norma (Brustolon) Ballestrini, he was a graduate of New London High School.  He lived in Gales Ferry since 1962.  William was a home builder and a master carpenter and along with his longtime partner and friend, James Onorato, they were the owners of B & O Builders for thirty-eight years.  He was a member of the Elks and an avid boater and fisherman.  He was also a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He leaves his wife of sixty-one years, Dorothy (Mitterer) Ballestrini, two sons and their wives, William L. Ballestrini, Jr. and Judy, David G. Ballestrini and Heather, a daughter-in-law, Dina Ballestrini, all of Preston, eight grandchildren, Luke, Joshua, Jacob, Jared, Joseph, Anthony, Stephanie and Tanya Ballestrini, and three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Nathan and Mason Ballestrini. He was predeceased by a son, Mark J. Ballestrini in 2013. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1650 CT-12, Gales Ferry, CT. The burial will be private.  There will be a calling hour from 10-11am at the church. Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home in New London is in charge.
