HUNTER: Wayne Hunter, Sr. of Waterford passed away on Jan. 7, 2022 in New Haven. He was born May 12, 1950 in New London the son of the late William and Emma (Rocchetti) Hunter, Sr.   Wayne was an Army veteran, and was last employed for NAPA. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda (Czaja) Hunter. He is survived by his children, Stacie Dunn, Wayne Hunter, Jr. and Christopher (Jenna) Hunter. A brother William (Sonny) Hunter, his companion Patricia Gambardella, and grandchildren Rylee and Trevor Dunn. He was predeceased by two brothers; James Hunter, Sr. and Charles Ennis. The family would like to thank Yale New haven Hospital for their care of Wayne. A graveside service will be held in April, in St. Mary Cemetery with military honors. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London has been entrusted with his care.
