Vincent E. Falconi, 92, of Quaker Hill entered eternal life on Nov. 7, 2018 at his home in the company of his loving wife Joan (DeMarco) Falconi. He was born Sept. 10, 1926 in New London the son of the late Emilio and Rose (Fulton) Falconi. Mr. Falconi, was raised in Groton, and attended local schools and graduated from Fitch Senior High School. He was an Army veteran of WW II and was honorably discharged. He later graduated from Boston University in 1951 with a BA in education. He was united in marriage to the former Joan (DeMarco) Falconi on July 31, 1971, Mrs. Falconi survives him. Mr. Falconi was employed for 25 years for the State of CT as a correctional councilor retiring in 1976. He later worked as a substitute teacher at Waterford and Montville High Schools and Norwich Tech. He is survived by a son, Richard Gaines and his wife Melanie of Uncasville and a grandson Robert Gaines. He was predeceased by two siblings, Arthur Falconi and Ester Trowbridge. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday morning from 10 am to 11:30 am at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm in St. Joseph Church. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery with military honors.
