His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Avenue, New London. Family and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 am in Saint Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Avenue, Niantic. Interment with military honors will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.

FEENEY:  Thomas J. Feeney, Sr. , 82, of Waterford entered eternal life on November 9, 2016 in the company of his loving family.He was born August 8, 1934 in New London, the son of the late Michael and Anna (Lavalle) Feeney. He graduated from Saint Joseph School in New London and attended the former Bulkeley High School in New London. He married the former Patricia Burvett on January 19, 1957 in Saint Joseph Church, New London.Tom was a Navy Veteran. He was a 30-year member of the Teamster Union – Local 493, working for Harvest Bread, Tip Top Bread and J.J. Nissen Baking Company retiring in 1997. In his retirement he enjoyed working for the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home family until his illness.Tom was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat of 59 years. He is also survived by his three children and their families; daughter Donna and her husband Keith Payne, their children, Adrienne Wolmetz and her husband Barry,  Matthew and his wife Danielle and Erica Manchester and her husband Justin. Daughter Janice Godin and her daughters, Marissa Russo and her husband Daniel and Olivia. His son, Thomas Feeney Jr. and his wife Nicole; his children Brittney and Nicholas; step-children, Hillary, Joseph, Annalise and James. He was blessed with four great grandchildren; Hailey, Hannah, Lucas and Audrianna. He is also survived by his brothers John Feeney and his wife Honore of Groton and Joseph Feeney and his wife Barbara of Waterford, his sister-in-law Lucille Feeney of Groton and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Feeney was predeceased by his brother Edward Feeney in 2008. His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Avenue, New London. Family and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 am in Saint Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Avenue, Niantic. Interment with military honors will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. Tom’s family would like to thank the staff at Beechwood Manor for their compassionate and exceptional care of Tom in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 238 West Town St., Norwich, CT  06360 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
