ORLANDO: Rosa Maria Orlando, 89 of New London entered eternal life on Dec. 26, 2022. She was born Sept. 19, 1933 in Sambiase, Calabria Italy the daughter of the late Antonio and Teresina (Greco) Orlando. She married Francesco A. Orlando on June 10, 1962 in Sambiase, Italy, together they moved to the US settling in New London. Her beloved husband Francesco died March 29, 2018. Rosa worked for many years at Sheffield Tube and was a gifted seamstress. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish in New London. She is survived by her two children, and there spouses. Mary and Daniel Docker of New London, Felice and Michelle Orlando of Waterford. Four grandchildren. Rosa Rodriguez, Anna Christian, Gabby and Francesco Orlando. She was predeceased by her, daughter Teresa Grabner. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Family and friends are to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9 am in St. Joseph Church, New London. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum.
