Ronald Chappell

CHAPPELL: Ronald E. Chappell, 84 of Groton entered eternal life on July 9, 2016 in Groton. He was born Jan. 19, 1932 in Quaker Hill the son of the late Harold and Dasiy (Ackley) Chappell. Ronald was united in marriage, to the former Barbara Cole on Nov. 24, 1951 in the First Baptist Church in New London, Mrs. Chappell survived him. Mr. Chappell was employed as a time clerk for Electric Boat, retiring in 1994. Besides his beloved wife of nearly 65 years, and is survived by four children. Catherine Lombardi of Marlborough, Michael Chappell and Diane Chappell both of Middletown, Richard Chappell of WY. Two siblings, Harold Chappell, Jr. of Quaker Hill and Eleanor Trail of TN. Seven grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11 am, from the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. Interment will be private
