PASQUALINI: Richard J. Pasqualini, Sr. 81 of Groton entered eternal life on Oct. 24, 2018. He was born April 21, 1937 in New London the son of the late John and Nora (Valentini) Pasqualini. Mr. Pasqualini, Sr. attended local schools and graduated from New London High School. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Pipefitters Union Local 777. He married the former Laurie McFarland on August 27, 2004 in Mystic, Mrs. Pasqualini survives him. Richard was a gifted musician playing the saxophone, clarinet in the Navy Band and at one time the Dick Campo Band. He was a life long member of the Italian Dramatic Club, serving on many committees. Besides his wife, he is survived by two children. Richard Pasqualini, Jr. and wife Michelle of Mystic, Renee Chung and husband John of Waterford. A stepson Ross Mehalko and wife Colleen of NH. Two siblings, Barry Pasqualini of New London and Barbara McPherson of Waterford. Six grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Nicolas, Harrison and Lillian. Two great-grandchildren, Zayden and Declan. He was predeceased by his first wife, Judith “Judy” (Pukas) Pasqualini. His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. Guest are to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 am in St. Joseph Church, New London. Interment to follow in, St. Mary Cemetery, with military honors.
