MORGAN: Raymond Edward Morgan, 86 of Waterford entered eternal life on Dec. 6, 2017 in the comfort of his loving family. He was born Oct. 9, 1931 in Panama, US Naval Base the son of the late George and Mary (Rowley) Morgan. He attended local schools in New London and graduated from the former Chapman technical High School. He served in the US Army during the, Korean War, in 1956 he was honorably discharged. He was united in marriage, to the former Louise Santangelo on Aug. 8, 1959 in St. Joseph Church, Mrs. Morgan survives him. Mr. Morgan worked as a machinist for Electric Boat for 46 years, retiring in 1993. Mr. Morgan was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He enjoyed bowling and was a member in the Electric Boat Bowling League at the Norwich Ten Pin. He was a member of the Midas Club that meet at the former Maybree Hotel in New London. Besides his beloved wife of 58 years he is survived by, three children. Edward Morgan of Maryland, Annlouise Hallisey of Niantic and Susan Morgan of Wethersfield. Four grandchildren, Jonathan, Sam, Noah, and Ryan. A sister, Theresa Morgan of Quaker Hill. He was predeceased by three siblings, Leo and George Morgan, and Cecilia Kane. His family will receive relatives and friends Monday morning from 10 am to 11 am at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. Followed by, a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Quaker Hill. Entombment with military honors, in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum.
