MESSINA: Philip Joseph Messina, Jr. 78 of New London, entered eternal life on Feb. 2, 2021. He was born Sept. 2, 1942 in New London the son of the late Philip J. and Frances (Pulaski) Messina, Sr.   He attended local schools and graduated from New London High school. He served in the CT National Guard, and was honorably discharged. Philip worked as Health Physic Supervisor for Combustion’s engineering. Family and friends are to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 am in St. Joseph Church. Internment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, has been entrusted with his care.
