DAWLEY: Penelope I. “Ya-Ya” Dawley, 72 of Groton entered eternal life on July 23, 2020. She was born July 2, 1948 in Norwich the daughter of the late Emil and Constance (Fredrickson) Eckholm. She grew up in Groton, attending local schools, graduating from Fitch Senior High School. She worked for the former Prague Shoes, Pilgrim Airlines, Lighthouse Inn, The Vital Connection Ltd. She retired after 20 years, from the Dept. of Corrections. She is survived by her beloved son and his wife Stefan and Khanh Eckholm of Norwich. Two grandsons, Loagan Eckholm and Brian Chitpanya. Four sisters, Stefanie Boyd, Connie Griffin, Wendy Eckholm, and Lili Eckholm. All funeral services are private. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral home, 84 Montauk ave., New London has been entrusted with her care.
