DEVIVO: Pasquale “Patsy” Devivo, 98 of Waterford entered eternal life on Jan. 13, 2017. He was born Sept. 24, 1918 in Waterford the son of the late Salvatore and Maria (Manzioni) Devivo. Mr. Devivo attended local schools in New London and graduated from the former Buckley High School. He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving in the 305 Engineer Combat Battalion. His campaigns included Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe, receiving the Bronze Star with three gold leaf clusters and numerous other citations. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Devivo was employed for Decamp Bus Co in New York and retired after 30 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Saunders) Devivo in 1971. He is survived by many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by five siblings; Angelo and Anthony “Tony” Devivo, Rose Phelps, Grace Steadman and Mary Shasha. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. The funeral will assemble on Wednesday at 9 am and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Joseph Church. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, with military honors.
