MEI: Nora Mei, 90 of New London entered eternal life on Nov. 19, 2022. She was born Feb. 20, 1932 in Fano, Italy the daughter of the late Othillio and Elvira Seri. She married Celso Mei on April 2, 1956 then coming to US settling in New London. Her beloved husband Celso predeceased her on Jan. 28, 2014. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, a talented seamstress, and a wonderful cook of Italian cuisine. Nora and Celso could always be found working hand in hand in their large garden. Nora is survived by her devoted daughter, Cindy Bolling and husband Scott of Waterford; grandsons Jake and Dylan who she adored; two sisters Ida and Lucina of Italy; cousins, Stephen and Donna Morrissette; caregivers Tracey Florio and Maria Amaral. A special thanks, to the staff of floor 4.1 at Lawarence & Memorial Hospital.  Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am from the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Joseph Church, New London. Entombment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Waterford and east Lyme Animal Shelter, 41 Avery Lane, Waterford, CT 06385 or ASPCA or North Shore Animal League America.
