Nancy Baude : New London — Nancy Baude, 82, of New London entered eternal life Sept. 11, 2021, in the comfort of her loving family. She was born Feb. 21, 1939, in New London the daughter of Clifford and Signe (Anderson) Southworth. ?A lifelong resident of New London, she attended local schools and graduated from New London High School. On Oct. 12, 1957, she was united in marriage to the late Joseph C. Baude III. Joe died Aug. 17, 2019. Nancy was an anesthesia aid at the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for over forty years. Nancy was an active member of the New London community volunteering countless hours. This included the Democratic Town Committee, New London Parks and Recreation Commission, New London High School Booster Club, New London American Little League and New London Babe Ruth League and was instrumental in New London’s successful foray of the sports complex at New London High School. ?In addition to her numerous hours of volunteering she was also a founding member of Save Ocean Beach. This was her greatest passion, and the accomplishments of this organization have benefitted the community and Ocean Beach in countless ways. ?She is survived by three sons, Ronald Baude and wife Cindy, Thomas Baude and companion Nella and James Baude and wife Hilary. She treasured her eight grandchildren, Chelsey, Taylor and Ronald Jr., Christopher, Craig and Collin, Eliana and Josephine; as well as her five great-grandchildren, Isabella, Charlotte, Milan V, Bradley Jr. and Grayson. ?Her family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Avenue, New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Joseph Church. Interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. ?In lieu of flowers, consider a gift in her name to Save Ocean Beach or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
