Marysa Clauson-Culbosky

December 29, 1973 - March 7, 2021

Groton – Marysa Clauson-Culbusky, 47, of Groton entered eternal life peacefully surrounded by family March 7, 2021. She was born Dec. 29, 1973, in Monongahela, Pa., the daughter of Scott and Julia (Chaika) Culbusky of New London.

Marysa graduated from Ledyard High School, class of 1991. She worked as a waitress in local restaurants for many years. Marysa had many loves in life: bringing her little sister Jessie to the beach and pool in the summertime; taking Nino, the dog Chris and Marysa shared, on long walks and hikes; 90s hip hop; dancing; and always being the life of the party.

Besides her beloved parents, she is survived by her former husband, Chris VanDyne of Groton; and two sisters, Shawn Braddock of Georgia and Jessica Culbusky of Uncasville.

Her family will reach out to family and friends to celebrate her memory at a later time and date. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Avenue, New London, has been entrusted with her care.
