Mary Ann Tudisco, 95, of Waterford, entered eternal life on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 16, 1921, in New London, the daughter of the late Anthony and Gladys (Pescatello) May. She attended local schools and graduated from the former Williams Memorial Institute, Class of 1938. She was united in marriage to Stephen F. Tudisco Sr., on Feb. 17, 1941, in St. Joseph Church. Mr. Tudisco Sr. died Jan. 28, 1994.

Mary and Steve moved to Florida in 1974 where they semi-retired. Mary became a pharmacy technician and worked until their return to Connecticut. Mary continued as a pharmacy technician at Ocean Pharmacy. She served on the Feast of the Assumption Committee, was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club and St. Joseph Women’s Club. She was a member of the Waterford Senior Citizens Club and the former Sons of Italy. She enjoyed ushering events at the Garde Theater for many years. She was an avid Red Sox and UConn woman’s basketball fan.

She is survived by three children, Stephen F. Tudisco Sr. and wife, Margaret, of New London, John Tudisco and wife, Anita, of Groton, Maryellen Tudisco and companion, Leland Stewart, of Waterford; five grandchildren, Jonai S. Phillips, Lisa Tudisco, Joel Tudisco, Stephen Tudisco III, Christene Tudisco; four great-grandchildren, Landon Tudisco, Noah Tudisco, Camilla LeSage, Alexus Tudisco; and a sister, Gloria “Tootie” Riordan of Waterford.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Peter and Frank May, Anna Crandall, Eleanor Metcalf and Lena Grillo.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A funeral home service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, followed by interment in St. Mary Cemetery.
