Marie S. Bevilacqua

BEVILACQUA: Marie S. Bevilacqua, 80 of Waterford entered eternal life on Nov. 22, 2017. She was born Aug. 20, 1937 in New London the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Favolise) Messina. Marie attended local schools and graduated from New London High School. She and Ronald L. Bevliacqua, where united in marriage on Feb. 23, 1963 in St. Joseph Church. Mr. Beviliacqua died in 2009. Marie worked as a bookkeeper for Sears for 20 plus years retiring in 1992. She was a communicant of St. Paul Church, belonged in bowling leagues at the former Waterford Bowl, and enjoyed playing cards with her girl friends in the “card club”. Marie, is survived by two sons; Ronald W. Bevilacqua and life partner John Lewis of Florida, and Larry Bevilacqua and husband Brandon Pavlacaka of Virginia. A daughter in-law, Holly Bevilacqua of Waterford. Two grandchildren, Alyssa and Adam Bevilacqua. A brother in-law William Bevilacqua of Waterford. She was predeceased by three brothers; Philip, Carl and Joseph Messina. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Paul Church. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Carelot PTO, 315 Flanders Rd. East Lyme, CT 06333.
