Kathleen Dawn Silvia

June 11, 1967 - June 9, 2022

Kathleen Dawn Silvia, 54 of Oakdale, died tragically from an auto accident on June 9, 2022. She was born June 11, 1967 in New London, the beloved daughter of Monique (LaSalle) Hoznor of Oakdale and James D. Silvia of New London.

She grew up in New London, attending local schools and graduating from New London High School. She was currently working as a home health aide for Masonic Care. Kathy had a one of a kind heart and the sweetest soul, her laugh was contagious and her love was full of warmth. If you needed her you could count on her to always be there, even during her worst times she gave all of herself. She can be remembered by being an Auntie to everyone’s children and a loyal friend. Her proudest milestone was being Boo’s mother.

Besides her beloved parents, Kathleen is survived by, two sisters, Michele Humes of MS, and Christine Silvia of Norwich, her Aunt Claudette and Uncle Danny of MS, 8 nieces and 18 Great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Kathy joins her fiancé, Joe, in eternal life. She will be missed immensely. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday (June 24) from 5 to 8 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Interment will be private.
