GARRETT: Joyce V. “Miss Booty” Garrett, 75 of New London, entered eternal life on Feb. 12, 2018. She was born Oct. 22, 1942 in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late Nello “Moby” and Jocelyn (Tavernier) Moore. Joyce, was well known, at the former Elk’s Club on Green St. where she bartended, for many years, and also at the former Tartas Café’. She later was, employed at TVCCA and eventually by the State of CT, DDS working as a supervisor at the former Seaside in Waterford, retiring after 20 years of service. She is survived by four children; Toni Garrett, Tracey Cardoza, William Garrett, Jr., Tina Garrett all of New London. Seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Her family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday (Feb. 25, 2018) from 2 to 4 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London, Ct. Interment will be private.
