DIPOLLINA: John Joseph Dipollina, Sr. 87 of New London entered eternal life on Oct. 14, 2017 in the comfort of his loving family. He was born March 25, 1930 in New London the son of the late Carmello and Marianna (Barossa) Dipollina. He was, united in marriage to the former, Kathleen Sullivan on May 4, 1957 in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Mrs. Dipollina survives him. Mr. Dipollina was, employed for the City of New London for many years, before his retirement. In addition he worked part time for Sears Auto dept. He was a member of the Feast of the Assumption and New London Lodge of Elk’s # 360. He sides his devote wife of nearly sixty years, he is survived by three children. Susan and Dan Driscoll of Waterford, John and (       ) Dipollina, Jr. of Waterford , Jeff and (   ) Dipollina of New London. Nine grandchildren and a great grandson. He was predeceased by six siblings, Dominic and Angelo Dipollina, Bon McCormick, Rose Montessi, Mary Ogborne and Josephine Montessi. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Guest are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10 am in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 63 Old Norwich Rd. Quaker Hill. Interment to follow in, St. Mary Cemetery. Donation in his memory to, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7Fl New York, NY 10001. Or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
