James B. Jengo

JENGO: James B. Jengo, 93 of Waterford entered eternal life on Jan. 20, 2022 in the company of his loving children. He was born July 26, 1928 in New London the son of the late James and Loretta (Palliser) Jengo. Growing up in New London, he attended local schools, graduating from the former Chapman Technical High School, and was an Army Koran War veteran. James was married to, the former Shirley Perron on Feb. 22, 1958 in New London, Mrs. Jengo passed on March 14, 2014. Mr. Jengo was employed for 34 years with New Haven Railroad, CT Railroad, and Amtrak, retiring in 1988. He coached for American Little League in New London, and later for Waterford Babe Ruth. He is survived by his two children; Lori and Tim Riordan of New London, James J. and Kelly Jengo of Groton. Two grandchildren, Amanda and husband Michael Killgus, Dominic and wife Haley Jengo. A grandson in-law John Kirakou, and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Traci Kirakou. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A funeral home service, will be held on, Saturday, at 10:00 am. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery will be private.
