Elaine M McGrath

September 23, 1932 - March 27, 2016

McGrath: Elaine Marie McGrath, 83 entered eternal life on March 27, 2016. She was born Sept. 23, 1932 in Worcester, MA the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Russell. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent McGrath, Sr. Mrs. McGrath previously worked as a registrar for Lawrence & Memorial Hospital from which she retired. She is survived by; a daughter, Sharron and husband Kevin Quinn of Quaker Hill, a son Stephen McGrath of PR, a daughter in law Wanda McGrath of Oklahoma, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mrs. McGrath formerly of AHEPA in Niantic enjoyed many friendships and social events of which playing cards and attending bingo with her best friend Ethelyn were among her favorite activities. Besides her husband she was predeceased by two sons, Vincent McGrath, Jr. and Kevin McGrath. The family wishes to thank Fairview Nursing home staff in Groton for all of their special efforts and care for Elaine. Private graveside services will be held in, St. Mary Cemetery. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral, 84 Montauk Ave. New London has been entrusted with her care. Donations in Elaine’s name can be sent to Fairview Nursing Home in Groton, Ct.
