BLETTE: David A. Blette, Sr. 84 of New London entered eternal life on Jan. 19, 2022. He was born Feb. 1, 1937 in Whitensville, MA the son of the late Albert and Jenny (LaChapelle Blette. Mr. Blette was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He employed as a manager for the former Caldor’s and later retiring from the former Benny’s Dept. Store. He is survived by six children, David A. Blette, Jr. of MA, Michael Blette of NE, Sean Blette of old Lyme, Erin Blette of Pawcatuck, Paul Blette of New London and Sarah Blette of Norwich. Two siblings, John Blette, Lorna Wiggen and eight grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors, at the CT Veteran’s in Middletown, CT, will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London, has been entrusted with his care.
