HUME: Constance “Connie” Hume, 84 of Waterford entered eternal life on June 6, 2017. She was born Sept. 28, 1932 in New London the daughter of the late Guido and Linda (Alegre) Tallevi. She attended local schools and graduated from the former William Memorial Institute. Connie worked for the Teamster Union Local 493 for 20plus years as a secretary retiring in 1982. She formerly resided in Port St. Lucy, Fl with her late husband William Hume. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish, and would gather with former classmates of WMI. She is survived by, her son and daughter in-law, William and Jane Hume of Salem. A granddaughter, Sarah Hume. A son, Gary Hume, and a sister Gilda Wilson predeceased her. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4 to 6 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Family and friends are to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 am in St. Joseph Church, on the corner of Montauk Ave. and Squire St. New London. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New London.
