DUROCHER: Chief Paul Henri Durocher, USN, 34 of Gales Ferry, entered eternal life on May 14, 2022 unexpectedly at his home in Gales Ferry. He was born June 1, 1987 in Queens, NY the son of Henry P. G. and Marie Carmel (Rony) Durocher. Chief Durocher was actively serving in the US Navy, stationed at the US Naval Sub Base in Groton aboard the USS California. He was united in marriage to Meaghan Durocher on Oct. 29, 2008 in a civil service in Groton, CT his beloved wife survives him. He is survived by his children, Dominic Durocher, and Cameron Durocher at home. He is survived by six siblings, Jacques Durocher, Jean-Robert Durocher, Marie Ange Blanc, Davidson Doucher, Gerard J. Durocher, and Sasha Durocher. His in-laws, Ray and Sue Myatt, brother in-law, Raymond Myatt. His maternal grandmother, Carmel Miracienne Rony, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday (May 23, 2022) from 4 to 7 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (May 24, 2022) at 11 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1650 CT-12 Gales Ferry, CT. Interment in Avery – Stoddard Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory for the benefit of his children to, Paul H. Durocher Memorial Fund C/O Navy Federal Credit Union, 24 Sailfish Dr., Groton, CT 06340.
