RYDECKI: Cheryl Lynn Rydecki 75 of Waterford, entered eternal life on Jan. 3, 2023 at her home. She was born Feb. 11, 1947 in New London the daughter of the late William and Doris (Glaesner) Preischel, Jr. Cheryl married the love of her life, James Rydecki on Aug. 10, 2003 in East Lyme, Mr. Rydecki survives her. She worked for 20 years at Sheffield Tube in New London. She loved going to the Waterford Beach, and was an avid NASCAR fan following her favor driver Jeff Gordon. Besides her beloved husband James of 48 years together, she is survived by a sister Wendy Preischel of East Lyme. Two step-brothers James, and Ricky Simons. She was predeceased by a step-brother Robert Simons. Funeral services are private. “All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last”. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, has been entrusted with her care.
