Bonnie Biddle

Mystic — Bonnie Jean Biddle 72, of Mystic, passed away peacefully in her sleep May 3, 2022. She was born Sept. 13, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was raised by her loving parents, Eloise and David Biddle.
She earned her BA in history from California State University at Northridge. Professionally, she worked at Blue Cross in Westlake, Calif., for twenty-five years until her retirement. After retiring, she moved to Connecticut, in 2005 to be closer to her sisters. She applied her skills from Blue Cross to serving the community of her condominium complex. Working in the office, Bonnie would organize events and provide a variety of administrative services to the residents. In her spare time, Bonnie had an affinity for all things creative. She loved the theater and would often attend musicals at the Theater by the Sea in Rhode Island, with her grand-nieces. Bonnie could often be found spending many an afternoon working on a craft project such as making beautiful porcelain dolls, or reading in her favorite chair. An avid card shark, Bonnie was always ready for a game; from Bridge or Canasta at the Groton Community Center and her condo community room, to Go Fish or Pass the Trash at family holidays. She adored animals, especially cats, and her family takes comfort knowing she is reunited with her beloved furry friends who passed before her.
Bonnie is survived by her three sisters and their spouses, Shirley Cohen and Lucky Colaluca, Helen and Richard Cavalieri and Darlene and Richard Wolowiec; three nieces and their spouses, Diana Cohen and David McGrath, Michelle Cohen and Sunshine and Frank Marcille; three nephews and their spouses, Daniel and Elektra Cohen, Rocco and Amy Cavalieri and Jamie and Lauren Cavalieri; and twelve grand-nieces and nephews: Dylan, Sage, Frankie Ann, Max, Adelina, Ty, Sophie, Nolan, Giavanna, Elise, Cora and Sierra. She is predeceased by her parents; and her younger brother David Biddle.
Calling hours and memorial will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday May 6, at Haley Brook: 2590 Gold Star Highway, Mystic. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Bonnie’s name to the Connecticut Humane Society in loving memory of our sweet sister, aunt and friend.
