Bibianne Rose Ferra, age 102, was welcomed into heaven on March 18, 2018, in Fort Myers, Florida. “Bobbie” was born to Willie and Alicia Chenette on January 18, 1916, in Norwich, CT. On September 1, 1935, she married Patrick Ferra in North Arlington, NJ. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Cook and her husband Richard; two grandchildren, Kevin Cook and his wife Amy ; Kerry Edwards and Thomas Yankura; four great-grandchildren; Jordon Edwards, Andrew , Justin, and Sophia Cook and many nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret Deptula, 103, her older sister, passed away on April 9, 2018.    Her husband of 30 years predeceased her along with her mother, father, brother Isidore Chenette, sisters Helen Durand, Gertrude Weyant, Pearl Fournier, and good friends and dancing partners Tom Lambert and John Kowalski.   She worked in manufacturing plants, retail stores and retired from Norwich Hospital where she was a therapy aide. During her retirement she enjoyed traveling, exercising, dancing and playing cards. Bobbie belonged to the Connecticut State Employees Association, Norwich Senior Center and, having been a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s church for 82 years, she was a member of the Council of Catholic women, Rosary Society and volunteered at church functions. She loved her family and was a gracious and caring lady to everyone.

Family and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on May 11th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 70 Central Ave. Norwich, CT. Interment in, St. Joseph Cemetery, Norwich. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, St. Mary’s Church. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London, has been entrusted with her care.
