Obituaries » Angus A. Andrews
November 1, 1955 - July 9, 2021
Burial Date July 17, 2021
Angus A. Andrews, 65 of Uncasville entered eternal life on July 9, 2021 at his home. He was born Nov. 1, 1955 in New London, the son of the late Augustine and Catherine (McNeil) Andrews.
Survived by his beloved companion, of 28 years, Patrice Schafter; three children, Jennifer Poirier, Stacy Andrews and Joseph Bromberek; his three siblings, Theresa Rogers, Bryan Andrew, Mary Andrews; and six grandchildren.
Angus always greeted everyone he came across with a smile and good cheer. It didn’t matter who you were, no one was beneath him. He loved to make people laugh, even if it was at his own expense. He struggled with addiction and when he was rising above that struggle it was because he started his days by affirming his own forgiveness of himself and love for himself. He always said it was impossible to rise above anything without that conviction. To all those also struggling, Angus would say love and forgive yourself, Choose Life.
His family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. Interment will be private.
