FERRANTE: Angelo “Andy” Ferrante, 79 of Waterford entered eternal life on Jan. 19, 2017. He was born July 2, 1937 in New London the son of the late Anthony and Rosalie (Santangelo) Ferrante. He attended local schools in New London and graduated from New London High School. As a collage student, he was drafted in the US Army, and was a Vietnam veteran. After being honorably discharged, he graduated from college and was employed for Citi Bank in New York City, in the litigation dept., retiring after 25 years. He moved back to New London in 1992 and recently retired as a substitute teacher for Montville, New London and Waterford High Schools. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish. He is survived by his beloved sister; Marie Aguiar of Waterford. Two nephews and a niece; Mark Aguair, Donna Aguair, Kevin Aguair and companion Sherry Smith. Five great nieces and nephews; Kyle, Briana, Dylan, Sam, Anthony and Taylor. Family and friends, are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 am in St. Joseph Church, New London. Interment in St. Mary cemetery is private and there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org/donate.
