Niantic – Agnes Nasca (Johnston) 92 years old, formerly of Waterford, CT, died peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2021.

Agnes was born and raised in the Brighton Beach area of Brooklyn, NY. She was married to her husband Thomas Nasca for 56 years before his passing in July 2005. After raising five children, Agnes re-entered the work force as an executive assistant. She worked for the Provost of Manhattanville College, in Purchase, NY; later for patent attorneys at Texaco Corporation in Purchase NY; and after moving to Waterford, Connecticut in 1988, she worked at Connecticut College in New London until her retirement.

While she was proud of her career, Agnes was happiest spending time with Tom and her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed and remembered with great love by her family: five children: Thomas and Jean Nasca, George and Kathy Nasca, Ann Rupp, Veronica Nasca, Mary and Jim Cullen; nineteen grandchildren: Thomas J Nasca (Deborah,) Andrew J Nasca, Patrick Nasca, Brian Nasca, Katie Eichenhoffer (Dan,) Andrew G Nasca (Amy,) Thomas J Nasca, Rebekah Capone (Chris,) Daniel Rupp, Christina Rupp, Victoria Rupp, Gabrielle Fox, Samantha Fox, Michael Pennacchio, Amanda Pearlman (Andrew,) Frank Pennacchio (Jimin,) Barbara Pennacchio, Jim Cullen, Anne Belke (Nate) and 11 great-grandchildren: Déja, Thomas, Rowan, Thomas, Nathan, Ryan, George, Joseph, Eli, Sylvia and Emily.

The family wishes to extend its gratitude to all the aides, nurses and staff at Bridebrook Health and Rehabilitation Center in Niantic, for their and kindness to Agnes while they were entrusted with her care. It is truly appreciated.

Guest are asked to, gather for a Mass of Christian burial on Friday at 12 pm in St. Joseph Church, New London. Entombment to follow, at St. Mary cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory to donors choice of charity. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London, has been entrusted with her care.
